Closing Ceremony of the Training Program In Spiritual Accompaniment And The Giving Of The Spiritual Exercises – Academic Year 2025–2026

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Center for Ignatian Spirituality Center of Alexandros (CIS Vietnam) held the Closing Ceremony for the Training Program In Spiritual Accompaniment And The Giving Of The Spiritual Exercises for the 2025–2026 academic year at Dac Lộ Center (171 Lý Chính Thắng Street, Xuân Hòa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The ceremony was attended by Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Tấn Tước of the Diocese of Phú Cường, representatives of religious congregations whose members participated in the program, faculty members, guests, and all 22 participants.

In his address, Fr. Julio Giulietti, SJ — one of the program professors— reflected on the participants’ journey as a meaningful story of transformation. Beginning as strangers from different regions, vocations, and walks of life — religious men and women, priests, and lay people — many arrived with uncertainty and distance between them. Yet after seven and a half months of walking together, they had become close friends in the Lord. This friendship became a solid foundation, enabling them to continue supporting one another in their future ministries as witnesses to God’s love.

As the program came to an end, each participant returned to their familiar place of service — where externally, everything may seem unchanged — yet they themselves had been transformed. A renewal had taken place in the way they see, think, and act. Through what they had learned and experienced, the participants are now entrusted with continuing to contribute to the growth and renewal of their local Churches through their lives and ministries.
