The fifth edition of the Pastoral Leadership in a Synodal Church program has come to a successful conclusion, bringing together 28 participants, including priests, religious men and women, and lay faithful from various dioceses, religious congregations, and communities across Vietnam.
What many participants took away from the course was not only a deeper understanding of synodality, leadership, and discernment, but also a lived experience of the synodal spirit within the classroom itself. In an atmosphere marked by joy, openness, and mutual respect, participants encountered one another, listened deeply, and journeyed together without distinctions between priests, religious, and lay people.
A particular highlight of the program was the practice of Conversation in the Spirit and the round-table discussions. These experiences enabled participants to appreciate more fully the value of listening, dialogue, collaboration, and communal discernment under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
As the course comes to an end, many participants expressed their desire to bring what they have learned into their ministries and communities, helping to foster a culture of encounter, listening, discernment, and shared mission in the life of the Church today.
