Program: Training Program In Spiritual Accompaniment And The Giving Of The Spiritual Exercises

Spiritual Accompaniment is a relationship in which mature individuals are able to share the story of their lives with another person in a truly safe and supportive environment, so as to discover how faith has become intertwined with their personal life experiences.
Within Christian spiritual traditions, this relationship always involves the interaction of three persons: the one being accompanied, the spiritual companion, and the Holy Spirit.
The Spiritual Companion needs to be professionally and well-balanced trained in the areas of Sacred Scripture, Christian Spiritual Tradition, and Psychology. They are not required to be biblical scholars; however, they must be deeply familiar with and personally rooted in the Word of God, in both the Old and New Testaments. They should understand the contextual meaning of biblical texts and possess the skills of interpretation and application of Scripture to human life and the contemporary world.

Program: Formation For The Formators

The primary purpose of formation for young religious and seminarians is to clarify their vocation and to shape their lives so that they may come into harmony with the charism and demands of a religious institute or with the life of a diocesan priest.
To achieve these goals, Formators, who should be competent professionals, are called to be lifelong learners.
This unique mission requires them to exercise a positive and life-giving influence on young candidates. At the same time, this mission also brings fulfillment to the life of the Formator.
Formators must profess their Catholic faith explicitly and convincingly, and they must be capable of living and embodying the various dimensions of charism, which constitute an essential part of the life of diocesan priests and of men and women religious.

Pastoral Leadership in a Synodal Church

Drawing from frequent consultations and ongoing requests from Vietnamese Catholic leaders, sine January 2025, CIS Vietnam has launched the Pastoral Leadership in a Synodal Church Program.
This program has been designed and implemented in response to a deeply existential question facing the Catholic Church today: How can we listen, plan, and serve together in the mission of Christ within the Catholic Church?
Core Content
The program offers both theoretical foundations and practical training in Leadership and Synodality—two essential components for contemporary Church governance. Leadership and an authentic understanding of synodality are not innate abilities; they are skills that must be intentionally formed and cultivated through training.
