CIS VIETNAM OPENS THE 2026–2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

On Friday morning, September 4, 2026, the Ignatian Spirituality Center (CIS Vietnam) officially opened the 2026–2027 academic year at the Jesuit Retreat House in Ho Nai. The opening ceremony brought together bishops, religious superiors, faculty members, invited guests, and 50 participants from various dioceses, religious congregations, and communities.

This academic year, CIS continues to offer two core formation programs: Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Exercises Training – Cohort 7 and Formation of Formators – Cohort 5. Both programs integrate spirituality, theology, psychology, human sciences, practical experience, and personal accompaniment. They aim to help participants grow in self-awareness, understanding of others, discernment, and their capacity to serve.

The opening ceremony marked not only the beginning of a new academic year but also the start of a shared journey: learning to be formed, practicing to grow, and growing to serve others in the Church and society today.

During the Holy Mass, Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Tấn Tước encouraged the participants not only to ask themselves, “What have I learned?” but also to reflect on a deeper question: “How have I allowed God to transform me?”

His message offered a meaningful inspiration for the journey that the 50 CIS participants have just begun.
