Lead Like Jesus Vietnam

The “Lead Like Jesus (LLJ) Vietnam” mission group brings together many Christian lay faithful from within and beyond the Nhom Lua Yeu Thuong Group, who desire to commit themselves to a shared mission: helping one another proclaim the Good News through their lives. In pursuit of this mission, the group actively shares a variety of thematic modules from the “Lead Like Jesus” program as one of the means to glorify God—by inspiring and equipping people to lead like Jesus, the greatest leadership model of all time. Their dream is that one day, people everywhere will be influenced by someone who leads like Jesus.

Team Marriage Renewal

Origins and Mission:
The Marriage Renewal program—known in Vietnamese as Canh Tân Đời Sống Hôn Nhân (CTĐSNH)—was originally founded by Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and Marikae Moraski, an American married couple. Out of their deep love for families, they developed this program to support and renew married life. Subsequently, several members of the Christian Life Community (CLC) accompaniment team in the United States participated in the program and obtained the rights to translate and offer it to Vietnamese participants.

Mission in Vietnam:
More than twelve years ago, during a pastoral mission in the United States, Father John the Baptist Nguyen Trung Kien, SJ, recognized the value of this program and made dedicated efforts to bring the Canh Tân Đời Sống Hôn Nhân (CTĐSNH) program to Vietnam. After many attempts, the first CTĐSNH course in Vietnam was successfully organized in 2012 at the Franciscan community in Thu Duc. The program helps married couples renew their commitment and live the Sacrament of Matrimony more fully in their daily lives.

Core Values:
The CTĐSNH service team has chosen Prayer – Service – Unity as its core values, placing God at the center so as to be guided by Him in carrying out the mission. Before each course, the team participates in a retreat to prepare their hearts. In addition, a Sending-forth Mass is celebrated by the spiritual director, inviting and commissioning the members to commit themselves to service.
